Kenpo Karate, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Women's Self Defense, Tai Chi

TRADITIONAL MARTIAL ARTS: KENPO-KARATE

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

The base system we teach is a traditional Martial Arts system known as Kenpo Karate. Kenpo is a well-rounded discipline that incorporates striking, kicking, blocking, and multiple reality-based self-defense techniques. It starts with establishing a strong foundation in a more ‘Karate’ style of training. As you progress, the system evolves by introducing the circle movements characteristic of Kung Fu and the Chinese arts. In Kenpo, very little movement is wasted, as the focus is on practicality and application. Traditional components such as forms or Kata (both open-handed and with weapons) are also taught to sharpen technique and build discipline. Kenpo Karate is primarily recognized for its fast, in-tight striking capabilities and adaptability, making it a highly effective self-defense system. Our self-defense training includes defenses against punches and kicks, grabs and holds, weapons defense & retention (both edged and blunt force), as well as ground defense. Additionally, our programs, including Kids Martial Arts and Adult Martial Arts, are centered around this comprehensive system of training. We also incorporate elements of Muay Thai Kickboxing to enhance striking techniques and offer specific Women's Self Defense training to empower women with practical self-defense skills.

KIDS KENPO

  • Tuesdays 5pm-6pm
  • Wednesday 4pm-5pm
  • Thursdays 5pm-6pm


TEEN/ADULT KENPO

  • Tuesday 7pm-8pm
  • Wednesday 6pm-7pm
  • Thursdays 7pm-8pm

We offer both a comprehensive Women's Self Defense Course as well as seminars available for groups and organizations.
